Chimes 2.0 takes the original 2009 Blazevox ur-text and adds several layers of polish, establishing a sense of textual sleekness in the book, of the aerodynamic. This, even as the narrative arc of the book remains the same, and what is now hollowed out allows the narrative, and the Steinian voice which conveys it, room to breathe. Cover shot is of the Elkins Park Septa station in Elkins Park, Pa, and is meant to convey an overtone of travel, of journeys undertaken, starting from youth and home. This is built into the book's spine. As is visible, this is now a book that has been read and experienced by thousands, and remains on the move in 2023.
